dear Lylie,
I am disgusted at all of the happenings to you in recent days. I am so sorry that you are a victim in all of this and I hope that they thieves suffer in their futures. It is awful to be burgled and trashed, it has happened in my own bedroom when they saw my husband's uniform hanging up (police) so they went to town in that particular room. At least I had others there to support me through it and to stop me being scared to sleep. Hope that your grandson is ok. This is just about all you need. Hope that MH settles down and accepts his mate back.
Thinking of you ans sending lots of hugs,
Eleanor x

Oh Maria, if only you knew ............................................I went to pieces BIG time!!! I sat up all Sunday night cuddling my old dog, shaking and blubbering like a fool (he just snored!!!!).............the worst thing was I couldn't clean up as Forensics don't work on Sundays so didn't come till the following day, and the smell right through my home was APPALLING. Filthy creature, probably a girl, the police seem to think they might know who it was but had no DNA.......until Sunday! And I was still so distressed on Monday that my son Simon wouldn't let me drive to Bristol to get the puppy, he took four hours out of his own day for me, and drove me down himself, such a treasure. Must admit I still have the creeps and have everything locked that is lockable, NOT the way I want to spend my "twilight years" Oh and I got in a SUCH flap that it may be a youngster who stole all the tablets, though the police think she will pass them on, .......I do hope so, I feel responsible that something dreadful might happen to the stupid wench. The police have been wonderful, and I am to expect a daily visit from my CSO until they decide I'm ok again, they like to take care of the "elderly frail" the detective (the dishy one!!) said!!!! Might just STAY frail for a while??????????!!!!!!! Morgan is ok, tho Trauma clinic sent him home with just a foam sling for support as the cracked elbow socket is still very swollen, he has another appt next week, looked very frail and tearful when i saw him (and supplied a comforting Gingerbread man). And Helen is justifiably FUMING, and has already made a formal complaint, in fact she did it while still at the hospital ...surely the LAST place you expect to be treated like that, in front of your 9year old.and in the waiting room full of strangers. Just going to carry the monster outside for a wee before I go to bed, have had enough of the day! Lxx Always be aware that what you do might hurt others........and if it could, do nothing without careful consideration of the consequences

Dear Lylie
I hope today was a bit better for you. Please don't feel responsible that something might happen to the monster- cos that's what she is- she was the one who violated your home .
I wish there was something practical I could do to help you- but can't so will send you love and prayers

Hi Lylie So sorry to hear all this upsetting news, what an awful time you've had over Easter. I'm still catching up with what I missed over the last 18 months of my err .. 'absence', so keep delving back into the 'old forum' to try to put pieces together. Spent quite some time reading through your emotional but explicit blog, must admit it had me hooked; what an amazing person you are and such strength of character. To then read your recent post ... it beggars belief what will people do (I use the term 'people' lightly!). I do hope things are settling down a bit and you now feel a little more comfortable in your home. I hope the modifications are done quickly to give you peace of mind so that you can once again feel safe in your own home. Thinking about you Lylie, Lyn x

Thanks Lyn, that's kind of you, I DO feel better today, but a bit creepy after dark, so I just lock everything and keep myself to myself and will get through it ...........with a bit of help from a very dishy policeman or two!!! They have been very kind and treat me like they would any other little old lady (little I am NOT!!), so very thoughtful and concerned, must admit I am surprised at how seriously they are taking the situation. To all who enquired/offered advice re MH and Barney. ...................they seem to be friends again today, though MH is still a bit rough and silly, I had to separate them today as things were a little too enthusiastic, MH seems to think Barney IS Barney after all, and therefore can be chewed, leaned on, dragged about and generally roughed up like he used to be before his operation! And of course as Barney is pretty high on Methadone he has no idea when to stop the riot and call a truce!! Still at least MH isn't growling at Barney now, so I can live with playing referee! Love to all, Lxx Always be aware that what you do might hurt others........and if it could, do nothing without careful consideration of the consequences

Thinking of you Lylie. Did they find out if it was the youngster yet? It may help you if you find out just who it was.
Glad that MH has accepted Barney again.

Oh Lylie, I`ve been away for a week and I`m just catching up. I really can`t believe what you have had to contend with - suffice to say that such awful b*****s should be strung-up. You poor soul, life is not fair. Hope Barney`s recovering, and please take care yourself, Kathleen x

I am pleased that the Police are taking care of you and the dogs! In some areas, the powers that be are offering 'Restorative Justice', which gives the victims a chance to tell these louts exactly what they thing about them, and how it really made them feel. I mention this only so you can think of it before hand and decide if you might like to do this (if it is even going in your area) I don't have any knowledge of whether it helps or not. I do hope as the weekend came and went, that you are feeling a little more secure. Good to hear that MH and the little one are getting on better.

we do restorative justice here too, but they have to find the little darling(s) first, I have already told the police I would be willing, if only to give the perishers a piece of my mind (or maybe strangle them??) My lovely DC turned up this morning........to take MY prints for elimination (he can come ANY time!!!!) as they did find some prints, but they could well be mine or the boys' as they were all here the previous day. Baby Barney had a bump yesterday, turning round too quickly he fell over in the door way and smacked his elbow on the metal door frame, made a lot of noise , limping n it very heavily and still a bit upset today, though using it a bit. He could only bash THE elbow, couldn't he? And I am watching the "good" leg now, its taking all his weight and looks a bit more wonky now; they said he might need it done too, but not yet!! ..and MH is being a bit more tolerant, not growling every time he sees him, thankfully. Hoping they will soon settle down again. Lxx Always be aware that what you do might hurt others........and if it could, do nothing without careful consideration of the consequences
